Q: How is AppReview any different than just going to the Apple App Store?

A: AppReview was born from our own frustration at trying to sift through all of the applications on the App Store to find one that was good and useful. That frustration has only grown as the number of applications have exploded. At AppReview we are downloading EVERY application and reviewing each app against it's peers so that we can tell you which ones are worth your consideration.

Q: I don't understand the "Latest" screen. What is it trying to tell me?

A: The "Latest" screen let's you see what application we have reviewed in the last 15 days, 30 days or since time began. You can then see a list of applications by rating for that time period. So if you want to know what the Best applications are that have come out in the last 2 weeks, we can tell you that!

Q: Why should I fill out the profile information?

A: First off, let me say that we will NEVER share your profile information with anyone else. We use your profile information to help us make a match between you and great applications that we think you would be interested in. Then, if you like, we will send you a newsletter every once in a while when there are applications that we think fit your needs and life style.

Q: What are your guidelines for rating applications?

A: Let's face it, there are a lot of really dumb applications out there that you don't want to be bothered with. We give these applications a thumbs down rating. Most applications are pretty good but they may be lacking the features and pizzaz of other similar applications. These applications will most likely get our Good rating. Other applications are good and have lots of cool features but they are geared to a small segment of the iPhone or iPod Touch population. These applications will get a Better rating. Then, every now and then we run across an application that everyone MUST have. It looks great, it has all of the best features and deserves a spot on the first page of your device. These are the BEST applications and we hope that you'll go out and download it as soon as possible!

Q: Why does AppReview take me back to the Apple App Store to purchase an application?

A: Unfortunately Apple demands that it happen this way. We try to make the process as simple as possible by taking you right to the application that you want but we still have to play by Apple's rules.

Q: What are "Recommended" and "Featured" apps?

A: Recommended apps are what we consider to be the best of the best. If you don't have these applications you should really consider downloading them. Featured apps are great applications that our advertisers would like you to see.
